(Paul Chesser, Liberty Headlines) As if to justify President Trump’s victory with his “America first” agenda when he campaigned last year, national home improvement chain Lowe’s notified employees yesterday that it would cut 125 of its information technology workers and outsource their jobs to India.

According to the Charlotte Observer, the positions will add to an estimated 1,000 existing IT workers that Lowe’s utilizes in Bangalore. Based in Mooresville, NC, the retailer attributed the decision to a need to broaden and globalize its workforce. Chief Information Officer Paul Ramsay reportedly told employees in a memo that the reductions were planned years ago to because of a need to diversify and globalize “in this highly competitive 24/7 retail environment,” to adapt more quickly to “evolving consumer needs.”

“It is always incredibly hard to make decisions such as these that directly impact our people and our teams,” Ramsay said in the memo.

Lowe’s, which has recently performed poorly financially — especially compared to its top competitor, Home Depot — has slashed jobs over the past year. Approximately 3,000 positions have been cut since October, between its headquarters, stores, and other corporate locations.

“Everybody’s kind of like, ‘When’s the next wave coming?’” said one of the company’s former IT layoff victims to the Observer.

“Diversity” has been the justification for many companies to either ship jobs overseas or expand easy immigration laws such as H-1B visas, which open the doors to more workers in “special occupations,” mainly high-tech fields. Silicon Valley companies such as Google, Apple and Facebook have advocated and lobbied aggressively for no limits on the visas, because they say America does not produce enough capable talent to meet their needs.

“I spent the last 20 years announcing that the single stupidest policy in the entire American political system was the limit on H-1B visas,” said Eric Schmidt, CEO of Alphabet, parent company of Google, last month.

“A properly-run company is really about having the best people in the world,” he continued. “We want the best people in the world, regardless of any form of sex, race, country, what-have-you. We want them to work for us and not our competitors. We want 100 percent market share of all those people.

“We should organize our country to be the most attractive place for those people. Stupid government policies that restrict us from giving us a fair chance of getting those people are antithetical to our mission [and] the things we serve.”

According to Breitbart, Alphabet showed the largest increase in pro-immigration lobbying in the first quarter of 2017 – more than ever before, since 2008.

“The only stupid thing would be if Americans believed these lies and propaganda,” said Protect U.S. Workers president Sara Blackwell to Breitbart.com earlier this month. “The person who benefits from this awful use of H-1B is Eric Schmidt….If you’re worth $10.1 billion, you can’t talk for American workers who are being hurt by the H-1B system.”
