“You’re not in the news business anymore. You used to be,” White House aide Sebastian Gorka rebuked CNN’s Alisyn Camerota on Tuesday.

Responding to CNN’s persistent, unsupported accusations leveled at the Trump Administration, Gorka accused the network of leaving journalism to go into political advocacy:

“We’d like you to actually do your job. You’re not in the news business anymore. You used to be. You’re in the attacking president Trump business and it’s sad.”

Gorka called CNN “fake news” for “selectively choosing what to look at and you downgrade real crimes and don’t look at them.”

Specifically, he blasted CNN for its failure to cover a range of scandals involving Hillary Clinton:

“It is very strange that CNN is obsessing on those who did nothing – and has nothing to say about people who are doing pay-for-play, who are involved in selling twenty percent of our uranium to Russia when their husband is getting half a million dollar speaking fee, who are in contravention of every classified information handling rule.”

And, when Camerota tried to claim Gorka was attacking the entire journalistic profession, Gorka made it clear he was singling out CNN:

Camerota: “When you take shots at us, and at journalism, and at CNN…”

Gorka: “No, not journalism: CNN.”

And, when Camerota asked why he would even want to come on a network he held in such low esteem, Gorka replied that he wanted to debunk the fairy tales CNN was feeding its viewers, answering:

“To readdress the absolute absurd, Alice-in-Wonderland of [CNN’s coverage] yesterday.”
