There are certain things you just don’t talk about in public, and they are religion, money and politics, especially on a first date. But once the honeymoon period is over, these are things that any couple hoping to be holding hands as they rock back and forth, enjoying a picturesque sunset better address.
Maybe the Palm Beach social elites, Lynn and Dave Aronberg, talked about money and religion, and assumed they would be fine regarding politics. At this point, we do not know. What we do know is that the couple that has been married less than two years are now getting a divorce. The reason: President Donald J. Trump.
It is an unfortunate state of today’s society, but it is not uncommon for friends to no longer communicate, defriend each other on Facebook, block people on Twitter and families to struggle with the idea that their flesh and blood could like the brash, outspoken, New York billionaire who now resides at 1600 Pennsylvania.
On Thursday, the Florida public relations firm where Lynn works, TransMedia Group, released a statement on the split. Aronberg, a former Miami Dolphins cheerleader, delivered to the media, the shocking news that “Dave and Lynn Aronberg Sign Amicable Divorce Settlement Putting an End to What Some Were Calling The Trump Divorce.”
This divorce settlement has been in the works for while, as the ex-wife filed for divorce just a few months after President Trump was sworn into office. According to his soon to be ex-wife, Aronberg, the state attorney Palm Beach County and a Democrat, pushed away his wife because of her conservative political beliefs and support for the current president, Donald Trump.
In the released statement, the representation uncharacteristically details, that Mrs. Aronberg is a “staunch Republican and supporter of President Trump” and felt “increasingly isolated in the marriage.”
The press release did also included a joint statement, stating “After much consideration over the past few months, we’ve decided to respectfully and amicably part ways and end our marriage. We are, however, dedicated to remaining close friends. We kindly ask for your support in preserving our privacy as we start to navigate this new chapter in our lives.”
That sounds like the couple is trying to take the high road, but there are also claims that Mr. Aronberg was not the most firm backer of his wife when push came to shove. During an interview, just one month before the divorce was filed, Lynn, 37, told a local gossip blog liberal supporters of her husbands were openly questioning why the former Democrat state of Florida Senator, who is considering a Congressional run, would be involved with someone having Republican allegiances, and ties.
Lynn was quoted as saying, “[He] has been getting calls from supporters, like union people or far left types. One actually told him to ‘keep your woman in line.’ ”
From her dog named Ivanka, to her many pictures with President Trump, and first lady, Melania, Mrs. Aronberg was not ashamed of her Republican support. In many liberal circles, conservatives must hide their political allegiances, so there is precedent of liberals acting like the cast from Mean Girls.
“I’m my own person. I’ve got a successful business. I’ve got my own opinion. I’m a lifelong Republican,” Lynn tells the blog Gossip Extra.
While no one, besides the estranged couple, know the full details of how often that occurred, or if it was the reason for the split, the nation has seen how Democrats have taken the election loss of Hillary Clinton. If the title of her new book, “What Happened” is any indication, it’s possible that even Mrs. Clinton herself is not coping with the loss very well.
From riots all across the nation, the rise of millennial thugs wearing black handkerchiefs to cowardly cover their faces as they attack cops, loot and burn store, to famous Hollywood actors, the mainstream media and Democrats themselves spewing vile, hateful rhetoric, there is a pattern developing here.
The left is intolerant. If you do not agree with them, or at least shut up about your views, they will punish you and/or make you feel unworthy of respect. For some liberals, many conservatives are not worthy of respect.
Even though the former Mrs. Aronberg says it was unintentional, it was released that she will receive $100,000 worth of benefits in exchange for her agreeing to the deal. She also will have her rent in a luxury Boca Raton condo paid for summer 2018, receive a new BMW and $40,000 cash. While she may wish the marriage would have worked out, the former Mrs. Aronberg walks away with a nice financial package and with less headache.
