Michele Bachmann gushes that President Donald Trump is a ‘man of prayer’

The Blaze

Michele Bachmann, former congresswoman from Minnesota who has been very vocal about her Christian faith in the past, was a guest on Jan Markell’s “Understanding the Times” radio show over the weekend, and during her interview, Bachmann sang praises of both the commander-in-chief and the Lord.

Bachmann lauded Trump’s efforts in the White House, and claimed that the president has been “working non-stop, 70 days in a row” and “hasn’t taken a day off” — all in order to keep his promise to “make America great again.”

Bachmann claimed that Trump is taking a stand for God, and said that he is “unashamed in standing up for increasing an awareness of God” in the United States.

“He recognizes how important that is and that that is a basis of Western civilization,” she continued. “As a believer in Jesus Christ, I could not be more happy with what I am seeing coming out of the Trump White House. This is beyond my wildest expectations.”

Bachmann went on, “The president himself is man of prayer and man who loves to receive prayer. He is a man who, I do believe, understands who the God of the Bible is and he wants to lift up the God of the Bible here in the United States.”

She claimed that “the Lord is working mightily in our government,” and said that she believes “it is because God is being reverenced,” and that “God is being lifted up.”

“Prayer is not foreign in the White House, it’s not foreign in the Executive Office Building,” Bachmann added. “Looking to God, looking through Bible studies, this is not foreign anymore.”

Bachmann noted that the president deserves much praise for bringing a larger awareness of Christianity to America because “[Trump] is somebody who gets the fact that the God of the Bible is, He is, He exists, He is real.”

About Trump, Bachmann added, “This president is very bold about the need for God in our country.”

“I’m shocked at how happy I’ve been with what I’ve seen so far,” she said of the current Trump administration. “I really believe that it’s because of prayer. I totally believe it’s based on prayer. He’s president because of prayer, the advances we’ve seen are based on prayer and I think, going forward, that is what we need.”

Bachman is clueless. She wouldn’t know Jesus if he stood in front of her showing the marks on his hands. Trump has never prayed in his life, and he is so uncomfortable having preachers putting their hands all over him. Bachman is so incredibly homophobic, yet her husband looks like an older, chubby woman. Clueless. Bachman is not christian, she is part of that cult which not only picks and chooses passages from the O.T. to justify their irrational fears and prejudices, but they also pick and choose certain things about Jesus and pretend the other parts do not exist. They are also NOT patriots because they seek to wear down the wall of separating church from state in an endless lust for power and control- “conservatives” have always been on the wrong side of history and have always been cruel- from their support of slavery to fighting to keep segregation, to opposing interracial marriage to opposing marriage equality (because they do NOT believe everyone is entitled to the rights afforded in the Constitution), to attempting to pass laws that would allow “christians” to discriminate against LGBT by refusing to rent, sell, buy, or employ based on sexual identity/orientation. I would first like to see them prove they follow the teachings of Christ and attend church, then I want to know if they have to prove someone is gay by violating their privacy in some way to find out, does the person in question have to divulge that information or will LGBT be easily identified by a pink triangle on their clothing, or can a “christian” merely suspect and that’s good enough?
