Two things have happened recently regarding AntiFa. First, conservatives are waking up and smelling the coffee. These aren’t just peaceful demonstrators—they’re violent, far-left thugs. Second, the mainstream media (MSM) promotes and justifies their efforts.
It seems the MSM would love for conservatives to just go away and not really pay attention to all the chaos AntiFa groups are creating and spreading across the country. Amazingly, Vox is accusing Fox of exaggerating the situation. What better way to do create a diversion than to attack Fox News, which stands accused of exaggerating the threat posed by these thugs.
Leftist media outlets like Vox are saying that Fox News is making a mountain out of a molehill when it comes to antifa. Fox is painting them to be a menace, which (news flash) they are. People are worried about these anarchists wreaking havoc in their towns and cities. That’s not an exaggeration, although Vox says it is. In particular, Fox is accused of all of its commentary that antifa have gone too far. Once again—news flash—they have. Most Americans would probably deem beating others with baseball bats as “going too far”.
The leftist media comes to their rescue every time, with things like “antifa are such a small part of these protests.” Really? How about this one: “they just look scary” and “the hype around them is a product of sensationalized media coverage” by Fox and other conservative news outlets. Since Trump was elected, many members of the MSM just don’t care—they feel that because the election did not go their way, they’re justified in openly defending antifa and in some cases, cheering them on.
The liberal media is so quick to point out white supremacist alt-right groups and directly link them to Donald Trump. It all started in the 2016 campaign when KKK leader David Duke endorsed Trump. The MSM went into an immediate frenzy, stating that Duke and Trump were best buds, even though Trump had never met or spoken to Duke in his entire life.
The alt-right don’t have powerful political supporters, but antifa do. The media has made a conscious effort to minimize how extreme these antifa groups truly are. Let’s face it—antifa are masked radical vigilantes. Many Americans and some politicians view them as domestic terrorists. The MSM pretend to do an unbiased job, but undercover footage reveals an entirely different story.
Enter the undercover journalists at Project Veritas, founded by James O’Keefe to “investigate and expose corruption, dishonesty, self-dealing, waste, fraud, and other misconduct in both public and private institutions in order to achieve a more ethical and transparent society.”
Their latest target? Nick Dudich, a recent hire for the New York Times. As their new audience strategy editor, Dudich claimed to be an antifa member when he was young. He actually bragged about it, referring to himself as an “antifa punk”. Punk is right. He also was caught on video saying that he feels that slanting his reports against Trump is a big part of his job. Hmmm….wonder if NYT put that in the job description?
What’s perhaps most disturbing is that Dudich had no problem whatsoever saying that antifa tactics should be used against the Trump family. He talked about antifa making a concerted effort to target Trump’s vast businesses and boycott his hotels. Dudich feels like he is duty-bound to ruin the Trump brand. “He talked about putting pressure on the family businesses, use tactics so the businesses are investigated, hacking or “other things”—anything to shut Trump down.
Said Dudich:”He cares about his business more than he cares about being president. He would resign. Or he’d lash out and do something incredibly illegal, which he would have to.”
Who wouldn’t find this disturbing? Think about it for just a second. This is a New York Times reporter condoning the illegal hacking of Trump businesses. And who knows what “other things” Dudich is referring to.
Antifa have not come out with any coherent dogma about what they’re trying to achieve. Peaceful talks are not an option. Their violence just keeps escalating, with the most recent “Deface Columbus Day” vandalism of Columbus statues around the nation. Their next big event is planned for November 4; it’s a mass protest to drive the “Trump/Pence regime” from power.
Liberal reporters are in denial as antifa grows in strength and violence. Dudich is apparently not concerned that antifa are well known for attacking journalists. Guess he figures he’ll get a pass since he is an alum.
