Leftist hold-overs in DOJ blocking Hillary investigation

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Wall Street Journal today leaked from an unnamed source “close to the agreement” that the Department of Justice is preparing to file anti-trust litigation “in case” the DOJ decides to block the AT&T’s $85 billion acquisition of Time Warner.

The WSJ article from an unnamed source is being widely interpreted in Washington and New York as a salvo across the bow from Deep State leftist left-overs in the Department of Justice that want to protect Jeff Zucker, the current head of CNN, when the acquisition is completed.

The WSJ article was also suspect in that the article sourced by an unnamed government agent identified only as being close to the acquisition deal in that shares of Time Warner were down 5.4 percent at $93.10 in late morning trading, while shares of AT&T were down 1.4 percent at $33.08 after spiking as high as $33.98 immediately after the WSJ reported a DOJ lawsuit was being considered.

In reporting this, the WSJ neglected to inquire if a DOJ investigation was underway investigating whether the leak of anti-trust legislation being contemplated was linked to any insider trading that may have occurred around the announcement.

Throughout the 2016 election campaign and continuing into Donald Trump’s presidency, Zucker has been a champion of the “Never Trump” opposition movement, with CNN leading the charge to call for Trump’s impeachment.

President Trump has repeatedly tweeted his dissatisfaction that Attorney General Sessions appears unwilling to investigate Hillary Clinton on equal terms with the scrutiny Special Prosecutor Mueller is giving to finding “Russian collusion” with the Trump campaign – an effort noteworthy to date for the failure to produce any evidence supporting the accusation.

The Gateway Pundit reported this morning, that according to Fox News Host Sean Hannity, Fox News Legal Contributor Gregg Jarrett discovered both Deputy Attorney General Ron Rosenstein and Mueller’s right-hand man, Andrew Weissmann, former head of the fraud unit at Obama/Holder’s Justice Department, signed the plea agreement of the Russian businessman embroiled in the Clinton-Uranium One case.
