This is getting to be a habit for CNN!

The Clinton News Network just admitted – again – to flat-out lying in its endless, breathless reports about the so-called Russia scandal.

Earlier this year, the network claimed Attorney General Jeff Sessions lied about his meetings with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak in 2016.

But… WHOOPS!… turns out CNN was writing fiction and calling it news. Again.

Sure, Sessions met with Ambassador Kislyak.

However, The Horn News first reported this spring he didn’t “lie” about it like the mainstream media claimed. Now, CNN has admitted The Horn News and Sessions was right all along.

As a sitting U.S. Senator at the time with a role on key committees involved in foreign policy – including the Armed Services Committee – meetings with foreign ambassadors aren’t unusual.

They’re routine.

As a result, new documents show that the FBI specifically instructed Sessions to leave out the meetings since they did NOT involve discussions about campaign politics.

CNN said the Sessions team actually reached out to confirm whether these run-of-the-mill meetings would need to be disclosed.

An agent told them “he was not required to list foreign government contacts while in official government business unless he developed personal relationships from such contacts.”

Now, CNN has issued a petulant report that they refuse to even call a correction.

They’ve dashed off just 235 words, none of which note that the network was incorrect in its original report, which ran an eye-glazing 1,200 words.

It’s a tale of two headlines.

Here’s the first one, which was accompanied by endless coverage from the network’s yammering talking heads:

“First on CNN: AG Sessions did not disclose Russia meetings in security clearance form, DOJ says”

Here’s the new report, which is practically being kept hidden away in a dusty corner of the Internet:

“FBI email: Sessions wasn’t required to disclose foreign contacts for security clearance”

Even the tone of the two stories is entirely different.

The first report claimed the supposed revelation was “the latest example of Sessions failing to disclose contacts he had with Russian officials” as if he had done something wrong… when, as the new report shows, he did exactly what was required and specifically requested.

What’s more, the report at the time said Sessions was facing “withering criticism from Democrats” over the “revelations.”

It’s time for CNN to face its own “withering criticism,” this time for viewers sick to death of the network’s biased and one-sided coverage and endless attempts to paint anything the administration does as a scandal.

Just last week, they were caught lying about a nonexistent link between the family of President Donald Trump and WikiLeaks. And over the summer, three CNN workers were forced to leave after a botched hit-job on Trump.

The network had reported on supposed financial ties between a Russian investment fund and Trump officials that turned out not to exist.

Trump himself refuses to watch the network, which is no surprise given the constant bogus attacks… and as their sagging ratings prove, the rest of America is following his lead.

October’s cable ratings show the network was defeated by Fox News, ESPN, MSNBC and two different cartoon channels in total daily viewers.

Looks like fake news doesn’t pay.
