The FBI & FL law enforcement failed to act on several tips about the Florida school shooter but there are no calls for more laws to hold them accountable…

(MRC TV) National Rifle Association spokesperson Dana Loesch is calling on President Trump to “respect and protect due process.”

Trump during a meeting with a bipartisan group of lawmakers on Wednesday shocked his fellow Republicans when he suggested confiscating guns from individuals deemed dangerous without due process.

“I like taking the guns early, like in this crazy man’s case that just took place in Florida … to go to court would have taken a long time,” Trump said. “Take the guns first, go through due process second.”

He also reiterated his intention of raising the age limit to purchase certain firearms such as the AR-15 to 21 and said he would soon “write out” bump stocks through executive order.

Loesch in an interview on Thursday said that there are ways “you can respect and protect due process and the rights of millions of Americans while also hardening our schools and keeping kids safe…”

Loesch said that people on both sides of the gun control debate agree that those who are mentally unstable should not be able to obtain a firearm.

“When you talk about the background check system and you talk about keeping firearms out of the hands of those who are mentally unstable and therefore dangerous to themselves or others, this is something that we’re all in agreement on,” Loesch continued.

She said it’s “inconceivable,” however, that millions of law-abiding gun owners be punished for the “failures of government,” referring to how law enforcement failed to act on several tips and red flags about the Florida school shooter…
