Former President Barack Obama’s secret friend and ally, Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan, denounced Jews as controlling government agencies that keep Black people down in a video clip posted Wednesday from a Saviours’ Day speech Farrakhan gave in late February.

The video clip was posted to Farrakhan’s Blue Check mark verified Twitter account with the caption, “The FBI has been the worst enemy of Black advancement. The Jews have control over those agencies of government. #Farrakhan”
Farrakhan’s speech has garnered controversy over the attendance by a leader of the Women’s March, co-president Tamika D. Mallory. New York Magazine wrote about the controversy on Wednesday:
Two weeks ago, during a Saviours’ Day event to commemorate the life of Nation of Islam founder Master Fard Muhammad, Louis Farrakhan had some things to say about Jews. The “powerful Jews,” he told the audience inside Wintrust Arena in Chicago, “are my enemy.” The Jews are also “responsible for all of this filth and degenerate behavior that Hollywood is putting out turning men into women and women into men” — that is, for the existence of transgender people, which Farrakhan apparently views as a pressing moral concern. He issued a warning to a subset of the Jewish community — “Farrakhan has pulled the cover off the eyes of the Satanic Jew and I’m here to say your time is up, your world is through. You good Jews better separate because the satanic ones will take you to hell with them because that’s where they are headed.”
…What made this address different was one of the attendees: Tamika D. Mallory, co-president of the successful Women’s March organization that has served as an important part of the anti-Trump resistance movement ever since it was formed. During the portion of his speech not dedicated to recycling ages-old anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, Farrakhan explicitly praised both the March and Mallory herself. Mallory posted an Instagram video of herself at the event, and previously had posted a photo of herself with Farrakhan describing him as the “GOAT,” or “greatest of all time.”
Once Mallory’s attendance at the event was revealed, she was repeatedly asked to denounce Farrakhan’s rhetoric, and she declined to do so. When she addressed the controversy, she did so vaguely. In one tweet, she did denounce anti-Semitism and transphobia without explicitly mentioning Farrakhan; in another, she made the dispute out to be some sort of thorny moral dilemma entailing “nuance & complexities.”…
The Congressional Black Caucus is also facing scrutiny over its ties to Farrakhan. Rep. Danny Davis (D-IL) recently told the Daily Caller he has a long standing relationship with Farrakhan and is not bothered by Farrakhan’s hatred of Jews.
“I’m a pretty global individual. So I know Farrakhan, I know the Middle East question, I know the Jews and Farrakhan — I know all that, but that’s not what I spend all my time focused on,” Davis continued, breaking into a laugh. “I know Farrakhan, been knowing him for years and years and years and years and years, and every once in a while some writer or somebody will I guess try to think of something to say about Farrakhan, but nah, my world is so much bigger than any of that. I don’t have time for that. I deal with it, you know, when it comes but nah, that’s not a real part of my focus.”
“That’s just one segment of what goes on in our world. The world is so much bigger than Farrakhan and the Jewish question and his position on that and so forth. For those heavy into it, that’s their thing, but it ain’t my thing,” he said.
Davis also said that he knows Farrakhan better than Democratic Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison, a former Nation of Islam member who repeatedly attended meetings with Farrakhan during his time in Congress.
“I don’t know that Keith knows Farrakhan as well as I do — in fact, I know he doesn’t,” Davis said. “I don’t think that Keith is no person who is super engaged with Farrakhan, he just happens to be a movement,” he added. “Just like many of the folks who are Christians, they’re not super engaged with Jesus, but they say they Christians. Those are all things that come and go, and I take them in stride and keep on stepping. Before I know it, Farrakhan will be dead, Keith will be dead, I’ll be dead and the issues will still be going on.”…
The Republican Jewish Coalition issued a statement from Executive Director Matt Brooks on Tuesday calling on seven members of the Congressional Black Caucus to resign their their ties to Farrakhan.
Seven long-serving Democrats have close ties with Louis Farrakhan. Each of them should resign.
They include former Nation of Islam employee, Congressman Keith Ellison, who is Deputy Chair of the DNC. Ellison has tried to excuse his 2013 meeting with Farrakhan, while ignoring his more recent meeting with the NOI leader in Farrakhan’s hotel room, in 2015. At least six other Democrats are known to have embraced Farrakhan. These members of Congress – Maxine Waters, Barbara Lee, Danny Davis, Andre Carson, Gregory Meeks, and Al Green – have all, while in office, sat down with Farrakhan for personal meetings.
There can be no question about how abhorrent it is for these Democrats to be connected to Louis Farrakhan. Farrakhan is first and foremost a preacher of hate. He preaches about Jewish “control” over the government and media and has claimed to have “pulled a cover off of that Satanic Jew,” saying “your time is up, your world is through.” And those were just the comments from last week.
Anti-Semitism is unacceptable. Farrakhan is the moral equivalent of a leader of the KKK. If it was discovered that members of Congress had met with the leader of the KKK, they would need to resign. In this case, for meeting with, and embracing, Louis Farrakhan, nothing short of resignation is acceptable from these seven Democrats.”
Barack Obama should also retroactively resign the presidency for his longstanding ties with Farrakhan.
