“She performed in front of around 200 people.”
CNN is so heavily invested in former adult film star Stormy Daniels’ story about sleeping with President Trump and then inking a $130,000 deal with his personal attorney, that they sent some of their top reporters to cover Daniels’ strip club performances.
Daniels doesn’t strip often, CNN reported breathlessly on Saturday, but when she does, it’s a special occasion — and that’s exactly what it was Friday night when Daniels performed in front of “around 200 people” at the Solid Gold gentleman’s club in Pompano Beach, Florida, near Fort Lauderdale.
CNN rushed to the scene to ask Daniels about her recent lawsuit against the president and his personal attorney Michael Cohen, but she only took questions after she was finished working the pole, during a special, post-performance VIP meet and greet.
“Daniels avoided questions about her lawsuit, but told Valencia about how her newfound fame has affected her,” Mediaite reported about CNN’s hard-hitting interview.
It turns out, Stormy Daniels’ newfound notoriety has been great for business, but her fame has been a “double-edged sword,” she says, because while it’s improved her strip club bookings, it’s starting to get in the way of performing the duties of her day job, notably promoting a collection of her “greatest hits” in adult film.
“But because of that, it’s sort of overshadowing a lot of adult films that I’m supposed to be promoting, and a lot of the mainstream projects that I was actively working on have indefinitely put on hold,” Daniels told the CNN crew.
Members of the audience were left somewhat disappointed by Daniels’ performance, CNN reported, as if it had any bearing on the world at large, because the adult film star was supposed to preside over an auction, featuring a dress she claims she wore during a tryst with Trump. Daniels’ lawyers, apparently, forced her to cancel the event.
It remains to be seen both whether the auction will go forward at a later date, and whether CNN will recover its dignity.
