NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. (KSNV) — An Air Force F-16 assigned to Nellis Air Force Base crashed Wednesday morning during training at a nearby range, according to the U.S. Air Force.

The condition of the pilot is unknown, a spokesperson for the Air Force said in a statement.

The crash was reported at about 10:30 a.m local time during routine training on the Nevada Test and Training Range, the statement reads.

Emergency responders are on scene, and the crash is under investigation, according to the Air Force.
