Just another run-of-the-mill “non-profit organization.”

Conservatives should laugh off any notion that fact-checking sites like Snopes and Politifact have no left-wing bias.

According to LifeNews, Snopes.com has declared abortion conglomerate Planned Parenthood as just another run-of-the-mill “non-profit organization.”

For some unbeknownst reason, Snopes felt it necessary to label an article out of the satirical site Babylon Bee as “False,” as if people clicking on their articles could not decipher that for themselves.

The hilarious piece, titled “Planned Parenthood Defends Bill Cosby: ‘Sexual Assault Is Only 3% Of What He Does,'” brilliantly satirizes Planned Parenthood’s oft-repeated talking point that abortion is only 3% of their services.

“Look, guys, let’s keep this in perspective,” Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards is satirically quoted as saying. “Cosby provided many needed services, like laughter, stand-up comedy, and a solid sitcom. You can’t paint him with the broad brush of ‘sexual offender’ just because a very small percentage of his activities were horrifying and abusive.”

Snopes followed that up with this headline: “Did Planned Parenthood Defend Bill Cosby?”

The Babylon Bee is an entertainment web site with long history of publishing satirical articles. In this case, the web site appears to be spoofing an often-quoted statistic about the nonprofit organization; although many people may equate it with abortion, Planned Parenthood’s annual report states that these procedures only make up 3 percent of the medical services that they provide.

The supposedly unbiased site goes an extra step further by providing a Planned Parenthood pie chart of their purported 2016 division of services. LifeNews notes that Snopes failed to mention that the “Washington Post Fact Checker gave that statistic ‘Three Pinocchios.'”

Recently, the fact-checking site Politifact gaslit pro-life advocates by declaring the killing of unborn babies in abortion a “disputed fact.”
