Two sources confirm the FBI embedded a spy into Trump’s campaign, and the DOJ won’t tell Congress who it is.
Two sources have now confirmed that the FBI hid a mole in President Donald Trump‘s campaign, according to Zero Hedge. Two separate political reporters revealed this week that the bombshell admission came to light as a result of House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes.
It is more than reasonable to see that perhaps the only reason Trump hasn’t been harmed is because of his personal security detail. If the FBI would do this, what else have they been doing?!
We do not know the name of the spy, or “source” as the Department of Justice claims, but we know the FBI embedded a highly secretive individual to work for the Trump campaign for a period of time during the 2016 presidential election. To understand how this explosive information was revealed, we have to look back to earlier this year and how big of a role Nunes has played.
Nunes has been threatening subpoenas against the DOJ for stonewalling and refusing to hand over pertinent documents related to Special Counsel Robert Mueller‘s probe into alleged Russia collusion, which still hasn’t been proven after a year of investigating and millions of taxpayer dollars wasted.
On Tuesday, the DOJ denied Nunes access to information on the “source” because the department claims it “could risk lives by potentially exposing the source, a U.S. citizen who has provided intelligence to the CIA and FBI.”
That alone indicates that former President Barack Obama‘s agencies didn’t just embed some random person. They placed a highly secretive spy in with the Trump campaign for reasons the DOJ is outright refusing to discuss.
Here’s where it gets better: the DOJ won’t share with Nunes who the source is, but they told Mueller’s team because they claim it is part of the special counsel’s investigation. But on Wednesday, Wall Street Journal columnist, Kim Strassel, busted a major hole in the case when she published an explosive piece detailing the spy that was embedded.
In her piece, titled, “About That FBI ‘Source,’” she writes that media and public interest in the source led to the DOJ giving Nunes and Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., a classified briefing at the DOJ on the documents. This is, to put it mildly, incredibly significant because it all but confirms the FBI had a spy embedded in the Trump campaign.
Strassel, who is also a Fox News contributor, says there are major implications for the CIA, FBI, DOJ and former Obama administration officials if it is verified they embedded a spy into a presidential campaign.
“I believe I know the name of the informant, but my intelligence sources did not provide it to me and refuse to confirm it. It would therefore be irresponsible to publish it,” Strassel writes.
On Thursday night, Fox News contributor, Sara Carter, revealed on Sean Hannity’s show that sources confirmed to her that Strassel’s report is accurate. Sources are reportedly not giving the name of the source under any circumstance, which again proves how far the Obama administration went to derail Trump.
Had Trump lost the election, none of this ever would have been made public. But now that he is in the White House and has a Republican-controlled Congress, they are forcing this information into the public square and out of the shadows.
If the Obama administration embedded a spy into Trump’s campaign, we are arguably talking about the biggest scandal in modern political history.
Here’s Carter’s report on Hannity about the spy, which begins at the beginning of the segment:
