Thanks to yet another successful FOIA lawsuit, Judicial Watch has uncovered more classified Hillary Clinton emails.
One of the biggest scandals of Hillary Clinton’s time as Secretary of State didn’t come to public attention until after she left her position and began running to be President of the United States of America (a position which Donald Trump beat her, thankfully). However, when it did come to light, the fact was made quite clear to many that her private email server had a number of classified files.
During the investigation into the email server, a number of classified emails were found, although she somehow managed to avoid any sort of prosecution for breaking the laws of the federal government. Now, A Judcial Watch lawsuit has discovered yet more emails containing classified information. Where is a new investigation into her dealings after this 184-page ‘classified’ bombshell, though? At least six of the recovered emails she tried to delete or destroy were classified, and it seems was being advised by Blumenthal, who even Obama’s chief of staff banned from government work, and talking about George Soros in some.
Today, Judicial Watch released two batches of documents, one containing 184 pages and the other containing 45 pages, both filled with newly uncovered emails from former SecState Clinton’s unsecured, private email server.
As with so many of the investigations and exposes that Judicial Watch involves itself in, this evidence came forward thanks to information from the federal government.
And, as seems to be typical for cases like this, the information came forward as the result of a lawsuit that Judicial Watch filed after federal agencies refused to respond to a Freedom of Information Act request for information that they have every right to demand.
These new emails containing classified information came out after JW won a lawsuit they filed on May 6, 2015, concerning a request filed in March, 2015.
The new documents included multiple instances of classified information, including material on confidential negotiations between Northern Ireland and the United Kingdom, as well as information about secret negotiations between longtime enemies Palestine and Israel, along with France.
The emails also contained a reference to a Clinton meeting with leftist financial backer George Soros, and advice from Sid Blumenthal, who was blocked from a position at the State Department by Rahm Emanuel over anger at Blumenthal’s role in promoting negative stories about Barack Obama.
The email concerning Palestine, Israel, and French negotiations came to her private email account from none other than Tony Blair, the former British Prime Minister, on June 7, 2011, and contained classified information about said negotiations.
An email from January 2010, sent to Hillary Clinton by her deputy chief of staff, Jake Sullivan, which was classified “confidential,” contained a ‘call sheet’ Mrs. Clinton received before calling Northern Ireland.
The redacted portions of the paper appeared to identify the expected members of the call from the Sinn Fein political party, and also included expected outcomes from the meeting for all involved.
An email from June 13, 2009, sent to Clinton from Sullivan, is classified as “confidential” and nearly entirely redacted. The subject line reads ‘Northern Ireland,’ but no sense can be made of the rest of the missive, and the subject is unclear.
In an email from Huma Abedin, she noted that SecState Clinton has a “George Soros Lunch” from 1-3 in Southampton.
Yet another email shows that Blumenthal was making staffing suggestions to Mrs. Clinton, even though he was not working with or for her.
The release of the documents is part of an accelerated release schedule ordered by U.S. District Court Judge James E. Boasberg, which requires that the State Department must finish processing the requests concerning the remaining documents found by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s investigation into her email server.
Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, said that these emails show why it is so very important for the Department of Justice to finally “undertake an honest criminal investigation.”
He also said that the emails they keep on discovering show that the previous investigation by the FBI, carried out by Peter Strzok (who recently lost his job at the agency), Comey, McCabe, and others was a complete and utter joke.
Fitton maintained that Jeff Sessions needs to have his Department of Justice launch another investigation, because obviously the last one didn’t do much to honestly investigate Clinton and how all this classified information ended up on a server she owned and was responsible for.
It certainly does seem like Fitton is right, and if that is the case, then the people of the United States of America deserve to know the truth about Hillary Clinton’s secret email server, and the classified information she kept on it.
Sadly, it seems that while other people go to prison for mishandling classified information, privileged individuals like the Clintons don’t even get seriously investigated. Perhaps, though, that will change soon.
