NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) – A pharmaceutical company is voluntarily recalling dozens of children’s medications due to possible microbial contamination.
King Bio said Wednesday it was recalling 32 products, including medications to treat teething, bed wetting prevention, cough, rashes, colic and more. The medication was distributed nationwide between August 2017 – July 2018.
“Administration or use of drug products with microbial contamination, could potentially result in increased infections that may require medical intervention, and could result in infections that could be life threatening to certain individuals,” the recall on FDA’s website said.
King Bio said they have yet to receive any reports of injuries or illnesses. Anyone who has the medication should stop using it. Consumers with questions can call King Bio at recall@kingbio.com to make arrangements to return the product.
