Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) sent a letter to the Department of Justice Tuesday requesting an investigation into John Kerry’s meetings with top Iranian officials.

In a letter sent to Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Senator Rubio asked the DOJ to determine whether John Kerry violated the Logan Act and the Foreign Agents Registrations Act.

“As you know, the Islamic Republic of Iran remains a U.S.-designated state sponsor of terrorism, and the State Department continues to characterize the regime in Tehran as ‘the foremost biggest state sponsor of terrorism’ in its annual reports on international terror. The American people deserve to know that U.S. laws are enforced, regardless of any individual’s past position,” Rubio said in his letter.

In May it was revealed Barack Obama’s former Secretary of State, John Kerry has been secretly meeting with foreign officials to salvage Iran’s nuclear weapons program.

John Kerry also reportedly met with French President Emmanuel Macron in both New York City and Paris.

This weekend, it became known that John Kerry has had meetings with Iran where he advised them to just wait out the Trump presidency. However, that may just be the tip of the iceberg. Republican operative Richard Goldberg tweeted an ominous claim about Obama officials advising Europe on how to evade U.S. sanctions on Iran which are due to take effect this fall.

Pompous John Kerry taunted President Trump over his meetings with Iranian officials this weekend.
