The group, which caught figurative fire after a viral social media post, led to hundreds marching this weekend.

Despite prominent liberals claiming that the newly established #WalkAway movement is orchestrated by ‘Russian bots,’ the group gained traction this weekend as hundreds joined a political march held in Washington D.C. on Saturday. However, the liberal media was strangely silent, in what appears to be a blackout attempt.

The movement, which began when #WalkAway founder Brandon Straka posted a viral video on social media about his disgust and rejection of the democrat party, has only increased in the five months since the video was originally posted last May.

The group helps give a voice to voters who feel disillusioned with the party of slavery and want to leave it, which many people recognize still uses scare tactics, identity politics, and violence to support their agenda.

Fox News reported, “Several hundred supporters attended Saturday’s mile-long march along Pennsylvania Avenue — from John Marshall Park near the Capitol to Freedom Plaza near the White House.”

“We’re walking away from the Democratic Party and literally walking toward freedom,” founder Brandon Straka told reporters.

“People are fed up with what’s happening on the left,” he said, adding that interest skyrocketed after liberals went nuts during Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanauagh’s confirmation hearings. “These were really the kind of die-hard loyalists. People in their 60s and 70s who had been Democrats their whole life who said ‘This was the final straw for me.’”

Video testimonials posted to the #WalkAway Campaign Facebook page give a variety of reasons for ditching democrats. Incidentally, the leftist platform banned Straka a few weeks before the march.

Some voters argued that the Democratic Party has become hate-filled and hostile to opposing points of view, while moving further to the left, while other people cited the push for a “politically correct” culture for their reasons for leaving.

The President added his congratulations this weekend too.

Straka added that he’s very proud of minorities embracing the idea, “These minority groups that I think the Democratic Party has had sort of a stranglehold for so long on, they are walking away,” he said. “They want to be self-empowered.”

But, some liberals refuse to acknowledge the movement’s legitimacy.

CNN contributor David Love claimed it was fake and a Russian ploy to divide key Democrat voters, the Washington Times reported.

“Republicans want to split up the Democratic political opposition and divide black and Latino voters. And Russia looks like it wants to help here, too,” Love wrote. “The most recent example of this strategy is the #WalkAway hashtag, which is presented as a grassroots effort by former Democrats who are critical of the party’s alleged intimidation, confrontation and lack of civility and want people to walk away from the party.”

Incidentally, almost no major mainstream outlets covered the march on Saturday. That leads many people to believe that liberals are more horrified by it than they will admit.

In the same way that they discounted Donald Trump’s chances to win the presidential election, they are deliberately discounting the importance of a group of their most loyal supporters, which is exactly the reason, many people argue, for the group’s expanding influence.
