Many people argue that this shows the liberal mentality that words are the same as violence.

In what many people are calling justified violence, video emerged last week of a teacher brutally beating a student in class after the student hurled racial comments at him. The student did not touch the man, and tried to defend himself after the attack.

When the unnamed student was told he wasn’t wearing the proper school uniform by Marston Riley, a high school teacher at Maywood Academy, the student became verbal, and used the n-word in his diatribe.

However, in the shocking video, the teacher suddenly punched him in the face, and then continued to pummel him, beating and chasing him, even after a school official tried to separate the man from the boy.

Some of the teacher’s California colleagues are defending this base, brutal act.

Many people consider this a direct result of the liberal narrative that equates physical violence with words.

A decade ago, people still taught their kids ‘sticks and stones,’ explaining that words might hurt, but they can’t actually do physical harm.

However, all of that has now changed, and many liberals think it’s just fine to use physical violence if they hear something that offends them.

The victim was treated at a local hospital for his injuries, and the teacher has been arrested, but he has already posted bail and been released.

A fund raiser page has been established for the violent man, “We all may have mixed feelings about what happened. But please do know that this is not the first time that Mr. Riley is attacked; physically or verbally. He is a great person and a great teacher,” it reads.

A ‘great person?’ A man who attacked a child is a great person?

Others are sickened by the act and the subsequent defense. This man basically beat a child, and would not stop, because of a WORD.

How is that right?

“Just the fact that he’s hitting a child — it’s not right,” one mom told NBC.

She is correct. In society today, it seems many liberals think that excusing violence, even if it involves a grown man beating a child during school, is defensible because the man was subjected to a racial slur.

Such opinions, many people agree, are both idiotic and wrong, and will lead to a society where decent people can no longer exist in peace for fear of offending a member of the violent left.
