Jim Acosta has a long history of antagonistic behavior against the current administration and kowtowing to the former, and after yesterday’s action, has had his press pass revoked until further notice.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders released the following statement:
“President Trump believes in a free press and expects and welcomes tough questions of him and his Administration. We will, however, never tolerate a reporter placing his hands on a young woman just trying to do her job as a White House intern.
“This conduct is absolutely unacceptable. It is also completely disrespectful to the reporter’s colleagues not to allow them an opportunity to ask a question. President Trump has given the press more access than any President in history.
“Contrary to CNN’s assertions there is no greater demonstration of the President’s support for a free press than the event he held today. Only they would attack the President for not supporting a free press in the midst of him taking 68 questions from 35 different reporters over the course of 1.5 hours including several from the reporter in question.
“The fact that CNN is proud of the way their employee behaved is not only disgusting, it‘s an example of their outrageous disregard for everyone, including young women, who work in this Administration.”
“As a result of today’s incident, the White House is suspending the hard pass of the reporter involved until further notice.”
Many people agree and are glad that #AcostaChop is out.
While Acosta was ‘questioning’ the president during a press conference yesterday, his rude behavior was called out by Donald Trump.
Acosta refused to sit down or relinquish control of the microphone, forcing a female staffer to try to intervene.
Video shows him struggling with her to keep the mic, like a thwarted two-year-old.
Acosta responded online, calling Sanders assertion “a lie.”
CNN backed its reporter and said in a statement, “Jim Acosta has our full support.”
It added that Acosta’s pass was pulled “in retaliation for his challenging questions at today’s press conference” and not over a “fraudulent …incident that never happened.”
“This unprecedented decision is a threat to our democracy and the country deserves better,” CNN asserted.
However, that is also a ‘lie.’
Sanders stated exactly why the pass was pulled. Moreover, the United States is a republic, not a democracy and such statements are expected by a network that many people consider the epitome of fake news.
Others could care less that a jerk like Acosta has been banned from the White House and had his credentials revoked.
His antagonism of President Trump, coupled with his drooling over any democrat shows that he is partisan propagandist who will do anything to create talking points, many people agree.
