TRUMP: ‘McChrystal got fired like a dog by Obama. Last assignment a total bust…’

(Joshua Paladino, Liberty Headlines) Retired Gen. Stanley McChrystal bashed President Donald Trump on ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday, saying that he would not work for the “dishonest” administration, The Hill reported.

“It’s important for me to work for people who I think are basically honest, who tell the truth as best they know it,” McChrystal said. “I don’t think he tells the truth.”

Trump reciprocated the insults on New Year’s Day, signaling he would not ask McChrystal to serve in the administration.

ABC Host Martha Raddatz asked McChrystal, “Is Trump immoral, in your view?”

“I think he is,” McChrystal said.

McChrystal has opposed many of Trump’s policies, such as sending troops to the southern border to prevent an invasion of thousands of illegal immigrants.

In 2014, he said he “deeply” respects former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, adding he will “value forever” their relationship.

McChrystal commanded U.S. Forces in Afghanistan from 2009 to 2010 before resigning amid scathing comments about Vice President Joe Biden and other civilian military leaders, The Hill reported.

Trump’s Twitter comments came after Laura Ingraham reposted an article, “Media Didn’t Like McChrystal Until He Started Bashing Trump.”
