Says Trump is a ‘president who is pretending to be a Republican’…

(Michael Barnes, Liberty Headlines) CNN contributor Anna Navarro appeared on the “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on Thursday night, and declared that she will never let President Trump push her out of the Republican Party.

Navarro has made a handsome living off claiming to be a Republican, but there’s very little, if any, evidence that she actually is one.

Navarro, who is also a co-host on “The View,” has been relentlessly critical of Trump, congressional Republicans and many other GOP officeholders and candidates since at least the 2016 election.

Last year, she pleaded with viewers to vote for Democrats.

Days before the midterm elections, Navarro appeared in South Florida and championed the socialist gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum over Florida’s current Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Republican.

She even referred to DeSantis, whose middle class upbringing led to Yale and Harvard degrees after which he joined the U.S. Navy and became a JAG officer, as merely “Donald Trump’s parasitic twin.”

But with Colbert, the NeverTrump Navarro said she is a real Republican and that Trump is a “president who is pretending to be a Republican.”

“Donald Trump has been a Republican for eight minutes,” Navarro said.

“There is no way I’m going to let that guy push me out of the party where I have been for my entire life,” she said, garnering applause.

“I admire your fortitude,” said Colbert.

Referring to herself and other anti-Trump Republicans who have effectively become Democrats, Navarro said that they are the only Republicans left who stand by principles and convictions.

People who support Trump are “willing fools” and “people willing to sell their souls in order to go to a White House Christmas party,” she said.

When Trump leaves the White House, Colbert added, “that’s a hot black tar they will never scrape off their body.”

Colbert then held up photos of Navarro eating popcorn and filing her nails on air while pro-Trump contributors were speaking on CNN.

Laughs ensued, followed by Navarro asserting that Trump’s criticism of the news media is “a threat to democracy.”
