Rep. Ilhan Omar is on shaky ground as her Minnesota constituents and the Minnesota Democratic Party are in agreement: she must go. Omar’s anti-American, anti-Semitic remarks have caused the people in her own district in Minnesota to turn their back on the Congresswoman, and they want her gone as soon as possible. But Rep. Omar’s response was to blame President Donald Trump, not herself for her newfound troubles. You don’t want to miss this.
Rep. Ilhan Omar was given a prime opportunity to represent the Somali and Muslim populations from Minnesota and reflect that they too are patriotic Americans. Instead, the 37-year-old Congresswoman has spent her first two months in Washington, D.C. trashing Israel and making anti-Semitic slurs against Americans who support the Jewish state.
Of course, this is nothing new for Omar, who has a long history of rabid hatred of her adopted homeland’s support for our strongest ally in the Middle East. Most people are aware of the sickening comments by Omar which launched the Democrats to create a “Hate Resolution,” but the majority of Americans are livid that Nancy Pelosi allowed Omar to draft much of the ridiculous statement which didn’t name her and focused on Islamophobia.
Now, its come to light that Omar is in hot water back home in Minnesota. In the early 1990s, Somali refugees started to populate the 5th district which Omar represents, and their history in Minnesota is tied closely with the Jewish population.
Calling for the removal of Omar are many Minnesota Somalis who aren’t on board with her anti-Semitic tropes. Somali community activist Omar Jamal of St. Paul said he is in touch with local Jewish leaders about how the two sides can reaffirm their solidarity at a moment of crisis [Omar created]. He said that he supported Omar’s congressional campaign but that her comments are “wrong, period,” the Washington Post reported.
After she was warned by the Minnesota Democrats she had gone too far, Omar doubled down. Steve Hunegs, executive director of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas, said he recently told Omar why many Jews are offended when they are accused of dual loyalty, showing her a picture of a cousin who was killed in action during World War II.
About a week later, on February 27, Omar told an audience at a town hall event in Washington, D.C., that accusations of anti-Semitism were meant to silence her criticism of Israel and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. She said she wanted to talk about “the political influence in this country that says it is okay for people to push for allegiance to a foreign country.”
“It appalled me,” Hunegs said. “It appalled me because we had had at least a one-way discussion in her presence with the picture of my cousin. You have to ask: Did she understand?”
Nope, Omar can’t help herself. Even when she is faced with Holocaust survivors in America, she makes anti-Semitic remarks and now her constituents want her gone. “Minnesota Democrats who are angry and offended at Rep. Ilhan Omar for her string of comments about Jews and Israel are reportedly considering squelching her next nomination and running a different candidate in her place,” the Daily Caller reports.
“There’s definitely some buzz going around about it, but it’s more a buzz of is anyone talking about finding someone to run against her than it is anyone saying they’re going to run against her or contemplate it,” Democratic state Sen. Ron Latz, whose district overlaps Omar’s federal constituency, told The Hill. “There’s definitely talk about people wanting someone to run against her.”
Well, the Minnesota Congresswoman is livid at the thought her district is advocating to replace her. So how does she respond? Omar blames President Trump, of course. “Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar blamed President Donald Trump on Sunday after reports that members of the Minnesota Democratic Party are considering removing her from congressional office for her repeated anti-Semitic statements,” the Daily Caller added.
“I’m sorry Mr. [Donald Trump],” Omar tweeted in response to the reports. “I am for real, you can’t #MuslimBan us from Congress!”
I am sorry Mr. @realDonaldTrump 🎶

Did the Minnesota Democrat see the article she attached to her tweet? It says, “Minnesota Democrats make move to replace Omar from Congress.” Since when was President Trump part of the Democratic Party in Minnesota?
“Rather than blaming the Minnesota Democrats, Omar focused the backlash on Trump’s 2017 executive order, which has been referred to as a Muslim ban. The executive order suspended U.S. entry of those whose counties do not meet adjudication standards under federal immigration law for 90 days and included exceptions on a case-by-case basis,” the Daily Caller reports.
David Webb, the Fox News contributor and former Tea Party spokesman, tweeted, “There never was a #MuslimBan. It was a #TravelBan based on a security assessment done by @BarackObama administration and then reconfirmed. The #SCOTUS agreed. How our system works.”

Omar has defended the anti-Semitic statements, such as ones invoking Allah to expose Israel’s “evil doings,” and she is on record stating that Israel is not a democracy. She also gave an interview to a host that referred to Israel as the “Jewish ISIS” and mocked how Americans speak about al-Qaeda and Hezbollah.
Time’s up for Rep. Omar. She is a brainwashed extremist who has been counseled many times over the years by prominent Jewish figures and organizations hoping to show her the errors in her thinking. Instead, she refuses to stop her anti-Semitic remarks, proving she is dangerous.
Not only should she be removed from Congress, but Omar should also be on a watch-list of anti-American extremists who fan the flames of hatred of the Jews. Americans can help the campaign to replace her by sharing this information and making it clear Rep. Omar never should have been elected to Congress in the first place.
