Failed Texas senatorial candidate and 2020 presidential hopeful Beto O’Rourke made his opinions on late-term abortions very clear on Monday, and they are not good.
As reported by Breibart:
Appearing Monday at a campaign stop in Cleveland, Ohio, 2020 Democrat candidate Beto O’Rourke said he believes it’s a woman’s right to decide whether she should undergo a third-trimester abortion, signaling he would not support government intervening to prevent the procedure.
ATTENDEE: Are you for third-trimester abortions or are you going to protect the lives of third-trimester babies? Because, you know, there’s really not a medical necessity for abortion. It’s not a medical emergency procedure, because typically, third-trimester abortions take up to three days to have, so in that sense, if there were an emergency, the doctors would just do a c-section and you don’t have to kill the baby. So, are you for or against third-trimester abortions?
BETO O’ROURKE: So, the question is about abortion or reproductive rights, and my answer to you is that should be a decision that the woman makes. I trust her.

O’Rourke, who has recently been scorched by both the liberal and conservative media, has faced critique in the past for not being “left” enough for the new progressive democratic party.
Is this perhaps a way that he is trying to garner the favor of the far left after all the negative press he received?
As reported by Politico:
The criticism — ranging from O’Rourke’s membership in the centrist New Democrat Coalition to his acceptance of campaign money from oil industry employees — has so far been confined largely to social media, newspaper opinion pages and online message boards. But as O’Rourke considers running for president in 2020, his potential opponents are quietly taking stock, plotting lines of attack they believe could weaken the Texas congressman in a crowded primary field.
Surveying the likely skirmish awaiting O’Rourke, one Democratic strategist working with a rival campaign told POLITICO, “Trotsky got killed with an ice pick.”
O’Rourke simultaneously shrugged off — but further fueled — the criticism Friday by sidestepping the opportunity to embrace the progressive mantle after a town hall meeting here. His eschewing of partisan labels comes even as he approaches a Democratic primary that is tilting increasingly to the left.
It only makes sense that if Beto is to be competitive, he is going to need to step up his game, not just in the gruesome practice of late-term abortions, but also in other previously far left elements that now are becoming mainstream, highlighted by a recent tweet from Donald Trump:
So where else could he go but to the left? We already know that Beto has criticized the border wall numerous times, which gives him some “left” street cred, but if he wants to make it to the top of the democratic food chain, he must accept whatever idiotic impulses become the new popular points.
Right now, that means late-term abortions, regardless of how cruel and unnecessary they are.
What a horrible time to be conceived in the wrong womb!
