Defense Department Finds Whopping $12.8 Billion For Border Wall

Rather than give these hundreds of millions of dollars to states that are fighting border protection, the Department of Defense has identified billions that could be used for new construction.

Democrat Senator Jack Reed is furious. The Department of Defense has identified at least $12.8 billion in funds that can be reassigned to building the bored wall.

And, guess where those funds come from.

Although the specifics haven’t been released, it would come from mostly democrat states.

The call to build a border barrier that would limit the masses of illegal criminals swarming over the border is strong.

The American people voted President Trump into office for that (and other reasons).

Reed released the 20-page spreadsheet on Twitter this week.

Trump last month declared a national emergency at the border, and said he wants to use $3.6 billion for the project and others.

The Pentagon’s list reported possible funding sources that are “in excess of the amount needed.”

The Washington Examiner reported:

Some states that have been allocated big chunks of money that haven’t been spent could see a hit.

California, for example, was identified as having more than $700 million in unused Army and Navy military construction that could be used. Hawaii has more than $400 million that could be used.

More than $200 million in similar funding allocated for Hawaii, Maine, New York, North Carolina, Guam, Germany, Guam, and Guantanamo Bay Cuba are also on the list.

Reed, in typical democrat fashion (although he wasn’t drunk this time), used scare tactics in the tweet, claiming “military bases in your state could be negatively impacted” by Trump’s border emergency.

Others have pointed out what’s the point of staffing military bases when our orders are completely unprotected from hordes of criminals?

Congress passed a resolution trying to block the emergency declaration, making many conservative constituents angry. They argue that this could have all been accomplished under the first two years in office when Republicans held majority in both the House and Senate.

The president vetoed the attempt to stop the emergency, but that hasn’t stopped democrats.

Various court challenges are pending.

Many people point out that of Obama could grant amnesty to millions of illegal ‘children’ (some of whom were violent gang members who committed murders), then the president should be allowed to arrange for the security and sovereignty of the American homeland.
