Swalwell announced his presidential run on Steven Colbert’s late night show. Mark Dice made sure to joke about this by saying, “When your candidacy is a joke, what better place to announce it than on a comedy show? Eric Swalwell.”
For several months, Swalwell has been hinting that he was debating running for president noting that he would decide by the end of March.
VOTER POLL: Do You Support TERM LIMITS For Members Of Congress?
“There are three questions I’ve asked myself,” the Democrat said at the time. “Do I think I can make a difference? Do I think I can win? Because I don’t think — even if you can make a difference, if you can’t win, it’s a hell of a sacrifice to take your family and friends and home constituents through.”
Now that the “RUSSIA COLLUSION” conspiracy has fallen apart, Swalwell is moving on to take away your second amendment rights.
The Atlantic asked him about his previous positions on the Mueller investigation. Check out what they said:
I asked Swalwell whether he had moved away from the Trump campaign and Russia as a possible issue in his presidential run because Mueller had found no collusion. He pointed me to a New York Times story that ran Wednesday night,“Some on Mueller’s Team Say Report Was More Damaging Than Barr Revealed.” But he made it clear that the Mueller report was not a factor in his campaign plans.
“I’m not running on Russia,” Swalwell added, then attempted to pull it back slightly, “if I were to run.”
