‘White people…Nobody likes giving up power….’

(Kaylee McGhee, Liberty Headlines) House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s, D-Calif., “old tired privileged ways are over,” said left-wing activist and filmmaker Michael Moore.

In a Twitter rant on Tuesday, Moore claimed Pelosi and other top Democratic leaders should step aside and allow new-progressive Democrats like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y. to take the reins.

“White people. Nobody likes giving up power. And they never see the writing on the wall. The new day arrives and no one has the heart to tell them they and their old tired privileged ways are over,” he wrote.

Moore’s comments are in response to Pelosi’s recent interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes,” in which she claimed far leftists like Ocasio-Cortez are the minority in the Democratic Party.

“By and large, whatever orientation [House Democrats] came to Congress with, they know that we have to hold the center, that we have to go down the mainstream,” Pelosi said.

Pelosi tried to downplay Ocasio-Cortez’s influence, claiming the Democratic Party is still largely moderate and rejects socialism “as an economic system.”

“You have these wings, AOC and her group on one side,” CBS News’s Lesley Stahl told Pelosi.

“That’s like five people,” Pelosi replied.

Pelosi has tried to counter the influence of the radical Democratic freshmen, shutting down all talks of impeachment, which Moore has advocated for since Trump took office.

“I’m going to be one of the people leading the opposition to him that’s going to stop him,” he said shortly after the 2016 election. “It will be a mass movement of millions that will dwarf Occupy Wall Street.”

But Pelosi has refused to entertain the idea, arguing that there must be a bipartisan consensus that Trump has committed a crime.
