ABC’s “The View” co-host Joy Behar went nuts on Tuesday and said that President Donald Trump and Republicans should all be “thrown in jail.”
During a discussion on the show, the segment began with Behar snidely claiming that Republican lawmakers have been silent as the Trump administration “stonewalling” Congress.
After noting that former White House counsel Don McGahn did not attend a House hearing, Behar said, “This is an unbelievable corrupt president, corrupt administration, and the Republican Party is right behind him, and they all should be thrown into jail as far as I’m concerned.”
She added, “Lock ’em up!”
Co-host Meghan McCain immediately shot back: “You’re clearly frustrated this morning. And you’re saying to the American public that all Republicans holding office should be in jail, so I want to know —”
Behar interjected, cutting off McCain to say: “Well, you know, it’s what you call, hyperbole.”
McCain shot back, “It doesn’t sound that way to the Republican at the table for what it’s worth. It sounds a little aggressive.”
Behar’s comments are par for the course.
The liberal comedian has a long history of making controversial remarks, especially about Trump, his supporters, and conservatives.
Behar obviously disagreed, and claimed that Trump often defends dictators.
After referencing the Armenian Genocide, Behar then said Trump is paving the way for another dictator like Hitler.
“The way that he talks gives cover to all these dictators on human rights. They look at him and they say, we’re going to get.”
“I want to say something about Hitler. Hitler killed 6 million people as we know, 6 million Jews, and one of the reasons he knew he could get away with it is because the world closed their eyes to the Armenian genocide. Trump puts out a vibe that we don’t care.”
Before that, Behar argued Republicans wanted to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court to “retain white power.”
She previously called Trump a “crackhead.”
She also disgustingly said “God forbid” Trump lives for another 20 years and asked why Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell wasn’t thrown in jail for blocking former President Barack Obama’s nominee for the Supreme court in 2016.
Here are a few additional abhorrent comments made by Behar last year:
- Claimed that the Iranian regime is more trustworthy than Trump.
- Argued in favor of normalizing socialism.
- Made a nasty “joke” about First Lady Melania Trump’s marriage.
She also came under fire last year and was forced to issue an apology after she said Vice President Mike Pence had a “mental illness” because he is a devout Christian.
She is clearly suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome.
