Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi certainly has her work cut out for her when it comes to pulling House Democrats under control, work that she doesn’t seem to be able to handle.
Pelosi recently posted her “Dear Colleague” letter during a caucus-wide conference call to Democrats in an attempt to reign in the calls for Trump’s impeachment.
While she claims that the president “engaged in highly unethical and unscrupulous behavior which does not bring honor to the office he holds,” she asserted that the evidence for impeachment was simply not there.
She impressed that before such a process can be undertaken, Democrats need to actually provide some sort of evidence of wrong-doing first.
“While our views range from proceeding to investigate the findings of the Mueller report or proceeding directly to impeachment, we all firmly agree that we should proceed down a path of finding the truth,” Pelosi wrote.
She warned that as Democrats proceed to uncover the truth and present additional needed reforms to protect our democracy, we must show the American people we are proceeding free from passion or prejudice, strictly on the presentation of fact.”
But this cry seems to fall on deaf ears as Democratic Reps like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, and even presidential candidates like Sen. Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren continue to call for Trump to be removed.
