Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden made an absolute fool of himself after trying to pander to his former boss, President Barack Obama.
But his entire stunt backfired after one former Obama adviser wondered if it’s all a big joke.
Biden took to Twitter late last week and tweeted a picture of a childish bracelet with charms spelling out the words “Joe” and “Barack.”
“Happy #BestFriendsDay to my friend, @BarackObama,” Biden tweeted from his campaign’s official Twitter account.
Given Obama has not officially endorsed Biden, who served as his vice president from 2008 to 2016, his tweet was met with an onslaught of criticism and mockery.
David Axelrod, chief strategist for both of Obama’s presidential campaigns and a close adviser, went viral with his savage response to Biden’s pathetic tweet.
“This is a joke, right?” Axelrod wrote in response.
