New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) wants to give driver’s licenses and health care to illegal aliens.

That’s bad for America.

However, de Blasio got some bad news that is terrible for him – and it’s all because of President Donald John Trump.

The mayor may want to drop from the 2020 race right now and save face, if that’s possible.

From Daily Wire:

In a somewhat unexpected turn, President Donald Trump has a higher favorable rating in New York than New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.

A Sienna College poll from last week found that 29% of New Yorkers polled had a favorable of de Blasio, while 34% had a favorable view of Trump.

While these numbers seem good or at least interesting for the current president, his unfavorable rating in the state is not. De Blasio had a 53% unfavorability rating, up from 50% in April, according to The New York Post. Trump, meanwhile, holds a 63% unfavorability rating, up from 59% in April.

Further, the poll found that even though New Yorkers don’t like de Blasio, they would still vote for him over Trump, 48% to 36%, in a head-to-head election. The most popular of the New York politicians currently running for president (or re-election) is Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, who, despite taking three months to qualify for the first debate and not even registering on many polls, has a 44% favorability rating in the Empire State. Check out what happened when Bill’s SUV was going the wrong direction, which is causing reports of a “cover-up”…

From New York Daily News:

Mayor de Blasio’s NYPD SUV was cruising the wrong way with lights and sirens blaring when it got into a car crash, sparking a frantic cover-up by his security detail, a new accident report obtained by the Daily News shows.

NYPD Det. Edgar Robles was driving west against traffic on E. 135th St. in the unmarked black Chevy Tahoe when he collided with a boiler truck at Fifth Ave. at 8:15 a.m. on a Saturday in August 2015, according to the report provided by the department. The mayor and two other detectives were in the vehicle at the time.

Both City Hall and the NYPD declined to say whether the mayor was running late. But in an appearance Friday on WNYC’s “The Brian Lehrer Show,” de Blasio expressed his displeasure with reckless drivers — on e-bikes — cruising on the wrong side of the street.

“We’ve seen them going the wrong way, weaving through traffic, going up on the sidewalks, all the things that many, many New Yorkers find dangerous and unsettling, and they can reach very high speeds,” de Blasio said.
