Congressional contender Danielle Stella has been permanently removed from Twitter after she exposed the alleged Qatari connections of her opponent Rep. Ilhan Omar on Tuesday.
Yesterday, a disputed report was published that made national news about Omar’s alleged Islamic connections. Court proceedings in Florida saw explosive allegations made indicating that Omar was a puppet of the Qatari government, and had sworn allegiance to Turkish dictator Recep Tayyip Erdogan before she was elected to Congress.
Stella went on the offensive following news of the allegations against Omar, expressing her opinion that Omar ought to be hanged if the accusations are ultimately proven to be true.
“If it is proven @IlhanMN passed sensitive info to Iran, she should be tried for #treason and hanged,” Stella’s campaign said in the offending tweet about Omar.
Stella stands by her comments and believes they illustrate the continued bias that Big Tech monopolies have against conservative speech.
“My suspension for advocating for the enforcement of federal code proves Twitter will always side with and fight to protect terrorists, traitors, pedophiles and rapists,” Ms. Stella said to the Washington Times.
Stella was clear in her tweet that Omar should only have to pay the penalty if the allegations are proven true. The accusations were originally reported in the Jerusalem Post yesterday, based solely on the testimony of Kuwati-born Canadian businessman Alan Bender in a Florida court.
Bender claimed that Qatar “recruited Ilhan Omar from even way before she thought about becoming a government official.”
“They groomed her and arranged the foundation, the grounds, for her to get into politics way before she even showed interest. They convinced her,” he added.
However, a report from the Daily Caller News Foundation casts doubt about Bender’s motives in making these claims. They point to his close ties to Saudi Arabia and how Qatari officials would not be inclined to divulge sensitive information to an individual linked to their rival.
“In the deposition, Bender attested that the Qataris called him out of the blue, flew him to the royal palace, and shared their misdeeds with him in extreme detail, despite his prior association with their rivals,” wrote investigative reporter Luke Rosiak, who claims the DCNF reviewed the deposition.
“The deposition includes all manner of accusations, such as that Omar is a “sex maniac” and that reporters at CNN, the Washington Post and the New York Times are on the payroll of Qatar. Bender appeared eager to expose all of that dirt, yet inexplicably said he’d “rather not” provide key details, such as the names of the reporters supposedly taking bribes,” Rosiak added.
Whether the story is accurate or not, it doesn’t make Twitter’s censorship of Stella any less appalling. Freedom of speech is no longer respected by these Silicon Valley monoliths, whose hostility toward American values now poses an existential threat to our democracy.
