House Democrats may lose a number of their own moderate members who understand that voting to impeach President Trump is signing their own political death warrant but they can count on Justin Amash to join them.

The obscure congressman from Michigan became a media sensation when he quit the Republican party in July to throw in with the anti-Trump rabble and their lynching of an innocent man.

The media sang Amash’s praises while touting him as an example of the non-existent bipartisan consensus in the House Of Representatives for impeachment and the 39-year-old turncoat is sticking to his guns.

According to a CNN report, Amash will join with his Democrat friends to vote in favor of the articles of impeachment when they are served up just in time for Christmas.

Via The Hill, “Amash says he will vote in favor of articles of impeachment”:

Rep. Justin Amash (I-Mich.) said Friday that he would vote for the articles of impeachment when House Democrats bring them to the House for a vote.

Amash, who left the Republican party this summer, said on his way to the House floor that he believes that there is “sufficient evidence” against President Trump for obstruction of Congress, obstruction of justice and abuse of power, though he said he would have to see how each of the articles were written before he would vote yes, CNN reports.

“Impeachment is like an indictment. We’re just issuing the charges,” he continued. “The trial happens in the Senate. There’s certainly probable cause to issue charges.”

Congressman Amash has claimed to be a libertarian but his support for sweeping domestic surveillance on political adversaries like Trump, the reversal of a legitimate election along with the nullification of 63 million votes and throwing in with a Deep State putsch flies in the face of any definition of libertarainism.

Some have speculated that Amash intends to run for president as an independent next year.

Following his departure from the Republican party – he has virtually no chance of winning his primary – he clearly has his eye on something bigger and siphoning off enough votes from Trump to put a Democrat into the White House would earn Amash the enduring gratitude of the swamp.

He’s a poor man’s version of Mitt Romney.
