Liberal activist judges are subverting the Trump agenda.
A federal judge has blocked the Trump administration from stopping asylum-seeking migrants in Mexico, as liberal activist judges abuse their authority to prevent Trump from remedying the national emergency at the border.
A panel in an appeals court based in San Francisco, Calif. ruled 2-1 that the policy must be halted while legal challenges are conducted.
U.S. Circuit Judge William Fletcher, who was appointed to the bench by former President and close Jeffrey Epstein associate Bill Clinton, wrote that “uncontested evidence” show that third-world migrants “risk substantial harm, even death, while they await adjudication of their applications for asylum.”
Thus far, over 57,000 migrants have been placed in Mexico as they wait for their asylum requests to be processed. Before this policy was implemented, asylum seekers would regularly skip out on their court hearings and become illegal immigrants. The Soros-funded migrant caravans were created to flood the nation, and Trump enacted this policy to defeat the scam.
The far-left American Civil Liberties Union, as usual, is celebrating this defeat for law and order.
“The court forcefully rejected the Trump administration’s assertion that it could strand asylum seekers in Mexico and subject them to grave danger,” said Judy Rabinovitz, a lawyer for the American Civil Liberties Union, in a statement. “It’s time for the administration to follow the law and stop putting asylum seekers in harm’s way.”
Fletcher was joined on the panel by Richard Paez, another appointee of former President Bill Clinton, in striking down the Trump migrant policy. The dissenting vote came from Circuit Judge Ferdinand Fernandez, who was appointed to the bench by George H.W. Bush.
Fernandez made the argument in his dissent that the migrants applying for asylum were unlikely to be approved, and a ruling by a lower court should have been struck down. Nevertheless, he was outvoted by his far-left counterparts on the panel.
The panel also upheld a 2018 order on Friday from a San Francisco judge that blocked the Trump policy to deny asylum requests for migrants who do not enter the country through designated ports of entry. These decisions risk destroying the progress the administration has made to remedy the national emergency.
While Democrats like to complain about Russian collusion undermining American democracy, it is actually the entrenched kritarchy, or rule by judicial dictate, that is undermining the will of the people. Although Trump has remade the judiciary with many rule-of-law conservative judges, the work is far from done before liberal judicial activism is put to an end.
