This is a flagrant violation of the 1st Amendment of the Constitution.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is targeting InfoWars host Alex Jones, warning him to stop selling certain health products in his online store and to remove video content from his website.
The FDA is claiming that some of the products offered in his webstore, including “Superblue Silver Immune Gargle,” “SuperSilver Whitening Toothpaste,” “SuperSilver Wound Dressing Gel,” and “Superblue Fluoride Free Toothpaste” are “unapproved new drugs,” and they are accusing him of violating several federal laws. They are demanding that Jones “take immediate action to cease the sale” of these products that they have arbitrarily deemed unlawful.
“We advise you to review your websites, product labels, and other labeling and promotional materials to ensure that you are not misleadingly representing your products as safe and effective for a COVID-19 related use for which they have not been approved by FDA and that you do not make claims that misbrand the products in violation of the [Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act)],” the FDA wrote in a letter to Jones.
The FDA, which is notoriously in the tank for Big Pharma, listed certain problem quotes from Jones, which they cite as illegal free speech that does not comply with their Draconian regulations.
“[R]egardless of how deadly this virus is … if it kills you, it’s bad news. So, I would advise listeners, just for your everyday life anyway to boost your immune system. We have the products that are documented on record to be good for your body,” Jones said in a March 10 video.
“If you are concerned about the Coronavirus or the Flu or the common cold, then I recommend you to go to the Infowars store, pick up a little bit of silver that really acts its way to boost your immune system and fight off infection,” he said in another video posted on Feb. 9.
The FDA is demanding that Jones comply with their demands in 48 hours or face possible criminal penalties. The FDA is following in the footsteps of far-left state officials who have targeted Jones with similar bureaucratic overreach:
Jones has urged people to buy the products in his web store as a “stopgate” against the coronavirus and SARS. New York attorney general Letitia James says that this is unacceptable and has demanded for him to stop selling these helpful products.
“As the coronavirus continues to pose serious risks to public health, Alex Jones has spewed outright lies and has profited off of New Yorkers’ anxieties,” James said, claiming that Jones’ advertising is “incredibly dangerous.”
Jonathan Emord, a lawyer from “The Alex Jones Show,” claims that James’ allegations are false and that the products were never marketed “to be used in the treatment of any disease, including the novel coronavirus.” They will be adding a disclaimer on their page to make sure that is known.
The government is also cracking down on remedies not approved by the FDA, such as colloidal silver, as a way to protect the Big Pharma monopoly on health and wellness, using coronavirus as the excuse to flex their muscle.
President Donald Trump has yet again failed to drain the swamp and now one of his most influential supporters is being railroaded as a result of his failure. So much for “trust the plan.”
