Crenshaw is an intellectual neophyte.
Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) gave a troubling response after being asked about the Hart-Cellar Act of 1965 indicating that he is completely unfamiliar with the legislation that changed U.S. demographics and set the nation down the path toward socialism.
While appearing in a remote interview with the Leadership Institute, Crenshaw demonstrated his ignorance on the issue of immigration.
“I didn’t get a chance to look into the Act that you’re talking about, but I understand the concept,” Crenshaw said after he was asked about Hart-Cellar.
“There’s obviously a very decent argument to be made that we are reading too much into the 14th Amendment to assume that everybody who is just born here should just be a citizen,” he added. “I think if we were to do it all over again, we wouldn’t have that rule. I think we all know that.”
