President Trump has pardoned retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn on Wednesday ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.
“It is my Great Honor to announce that General Michael T. Flynn has been granted a Full Pardon,” Trump tweeted. “Congratulations to @GenFlynn and his wonderful family. I know you will now have a truly fantastic Thanksgiving!”
The pardon ends the over four-year Deep State crusade against Trump’s former National Security Adviser sparked by the FBI’s bogus 2016 counterintelligence probe into Trump and his associates and whether they “colluded” with the Russian government.
Attorney General William Barr had directed the Department of Justice to drop its case against Flynn in May, but his case has since been tied up in court after Obama-appointed judge Emmet Sullivan refused to dismiss the case.
