The United States is in a titanic struggle with the People’s Republic of China for the dominance of space.
Although the Americans have been to the moon and sent multiple, advanced probes to the surface of Mars, since the end of the Cold War, U.S. space policy has languished in neutral. Due to this, new competitors, namely China, have arisen to challenge the dominance of the Americans in the ultimate strategic high ground of space.
China has grand ambitions for space. Not only does China plan on beating the Americans to the Martian surface by the end of the decade, but Beijing wants control of the vital orbits around the Earth. By controlling these orbits, China’s military would enjoy significant advantages over the American military. Beyond that, China plans on strip-mining the moon for valuable resources…

This is good – twice – but in a way, it contradicts.
First, Biden will get a very potent enemy. Musk is already trigged by the Californian lunacy … In that case it was simple, just move away to sane ground. In this? Well, Musk can move outside USA or just make it difficult …
Secondly, hopefully this will stop the satellite launches, as we don’t need more pointless toys in space. (No, there’s no legit need for 5G!) Most of that stuff will turn into spacejunk at the next major solar storm that will hit the Earth. It’s not a matter of ‘if’, but ‘when’. Last time this happened, the telegraph was high tech, so the damages was small. Ever since, the Earth has been hit a couple of times, with some few satellites ‘knocked dead’ and electrical grids shut down. Also, the increasing number of satellites and spacejunk causes a lot of extra work for the astronomers and that’s not for free.
