A man suffered a broken leg and head wounds when he was shoved off a subway platform in New York City during an attempted robbery last week, according to reports.

A middle-aged man was waiting on a platform on the Bushwick Avenue/Aberdeen Street L line when he was approached by another male.
The suspect “demanded a 52-year-old male’s property, then shoved him onto the train tracks, fracturing his leg,” NYPD explained in a statement.

Emergency medical workers rescued the man from the tracks and brought him to hospital in stable condition.
In addition to the broken leg, the victim also suffered head lacerations.
The suspect fled the scene and is still on the loose as of the most current available updates.
