One of the largest rail freight companies in America, Union Pacific, sent a scathing letter to the “progressive” George Soros-funded District Attorney of Los Angeles County, George Gascón, last month.
The rail line cited what they’ve identified as mass-scale looting and theft targeting freight containers, threatening to avoid shipping cargo and goods into Los Angeles County if Gascón continued to decline to prosecute thieves and looters.

Adrian Guerrero, a representative of the company, revealed that Union Pacific believes that more than 90 train containers are being attacked and looted every day in Los Angeles County. Despite the wide-ranging and constant theft, Union Pacific has not been contacted for testimony in any court proceedings.
Union Pacific specifically cited Gascón’s “no jail” policies, expressing frustration that railroad theft criminals are merely booked into jail and released back to the public after paying a small fine.
If Union Pacific were to cut back on operations moving goods into Los Angeles, the county would likely suffer from even greater supply chain difficulties amid mass shortages of goods and services as a result of the Biden administration’s policy failures.
Scenes of massive looting and theft on Los Angeles County’s railroad tracks have shocked observers, many of whom couldn’t believe they were seeing such scenes of criminality and squalor in the United States. Even Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom recognized the failure of California’s system, remarking that scenes on railroad tracks resemble that of a “third world country.”
