Vladimir Putin is still the president of Russia, for now. However, he is no longer the honorary president of the International Judo Federation (IJF).
The IJF announced on Sunday that Putin, a black belt who not only practices Judo but co-authored a book about martial art, was being suspended from his honorary president status due to his invasion of Ukraine.
“In light of the ongoing war conflict in Ukraine, the International Judo Federation announces the suspension of Mr. Vladimir Putin’s status as Honorary President and Ambassador of the International Judo Federation,” the IJF said in a statement.
I find it strange that suddenly the whole world care so much for Ukraine? The NATO countries have bombed their “democracy” on almost every piece of dry land on this planet, very rarely there is anyone showing much care about it. But when Russia makes a move, even inside their own country, the entire world screams about how evil and awful the Russians are, and restrictions and bans are coming from all directions?
But at least, Marina Abramovich tell us that Russia is the bad ones, so there’s that.
