President Joe Biden, when speaking about the Russo-Ukraine conflict, said “For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power,” referring to Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation.
The White House quickly tried to walk back his remark, passing it off as a gaffe or misstatement by saying that it wasn’t in his prepared remarks and that “The President’s point was that Putin cannot be allowed to exercise power over his neighbors or the region. He was not discussing Putin’s power in Russia, or regime change.”
He obviously was discussing Putin and regime change but, his White House, not wanting to spark nuclear war, was probably wise to claim otherwise and try to pass off the remark as meaning something else.
Well, according to former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, the remark was no “gaffe.” It was, rather, according to her, an intentional remark. Watch what she had to say about the remark:
In her view, Biden’s remark wasn’t a gaffe. It was an admission that the elites want to remove Putin by power, something they’ve already shown with their massive economic blitz against the Russian Federation. Speaking to Tucker Carlson on that, she said:
“It was not a gaffe at all. President Biden just said out loud what the aims and objectives of his administration’s policies are, which is regime change in Russia, to get Putin out of power. They are doing so through using the primary weapons of economic warfare.”
“They are doing so by waging this modern-day siege against Russia, isolating, containing, destroying their economy, starving the Russian people in the hope that the Russian people or the military will rise up and revolt and overthrow their government, and get rid of Putin.”
And that wasn’t all the former congresswoman had to say about what Team Biden and its elite backers are up to. She then skewered them for lying to the American people about their objectives in the conflict, saying:
“The reason why they are lying about this to the American people is, they know we are sick and tired of our country waging regime change wars. We remember how costly and devastating these wars in Iraq, Libya, Syria have been. And we rejected them wholeheartedly. So if they were to come out and tell the truth, their polls would tank even more than they already are, and their politics would suffer.”
“The American people are smart enough to know that a regime change war against a nuclear-armed Russia is very different from any other that’s been waged before, and will result in disastrous consequences that go beyond anything we could even imagine.”
Tulsi is right. Americans loved Trump in no small part because of his aversion to fighting new wars: while the American people hate losing, as Biden lost in Afghanistan, they also don’t want to start wars and then spend precious blood and treasure on nation-building or fighting for some faraway land they can’t place on a map.
Yet that’s exactly what the elites want to do, so they lie and freak out when someone like Biden inadvertently reveals their true objectives, at least according to Tulsi.
