Biden’s cognitive decline seems to be getting worse by the day. One moment he’s seemingly telling the 82nd Airborne that they’ll be deployed to the Ukraine and the next he’s letting slip a national security secret when going back and forth with a Fox News reporter. It’s not looking great.

Well, GOP firebrand Rand Paul, the rock-ribbed conservative from Kentucky, recently sounded off on Biden’s precipitous and dangerous mental decline, saying:

A lot of times when you’re around somebody who’s in cognitive decline, you find yourself trying to help them with a sentence, trying to help them complete it… but we shouldn’t have to do that for the commander-in-chief.

Indeed. Biden is supposed to be in charge of what’s going on, steering the American ship of state while waving from the helm. As it stands, he’s hiding in the lowest level of the ship and occasionally mumbling directions or orders that have to be immediately stopped by someone with a shred more intelligence than he does.

Having to have younger aides or other administration officials fill in the gaps and try to figure out what he meant to say is dangerous, as those assumptions and attempts to fill in the blank become national policy: the Commander-in-Chief needs to be setting course, not some intern or administration official.

But that’s exactly what’s happening. Following Biden’s remark that the US couldn’t allow Putin to remain in power, officials in the White House quickly tried to walk back his remark, saying:

The President’s point was that Putin cannot be allowed to exercise power over his neighbors or the region. He was not discussing Putin’s power in Russia, or regime change.”

Continuing his discussion of how dangerous Biden’s cognitive decline is, Senator Paul then said:

And, it is actually a national security risk because he’s sending signals that no one in their right mind would want to send to Russia at this point. We aren’t trying to replace Putin in Russia. We aren’t trying to have regime change.

Well, he thinks we aren’t. Senator Tulsi Gabbard, also sounding off, said that Biden just let the cat out of the bag about America’s goal for the conflict in the Ukraine, saying:

“It was not a gaffe at all. President Biden just said out loud what the aims and objectives of his administration’s policies are, which is regime change in Russia, to get Putin out of power. They are doing so through using the primary weapons of economic warfare.”

“They are doing so by waging this modern-day siege against Russia, isolating, containing, destroying their economy, starving the Russian people in the hope that the Russian people or the military will rise up and revolt and overthrow their government, and get rid of Putin.”

Perhaps she is right, perhaps Senator Paul is right. Either way, America is being put in a dangerous,  precarious position by senile President Joe Biden’s bumbling and obviously intense cognitive decline.
