Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS) troopers stopped the truck, which was hauling a trailer filled with dozens of mostly-male illegal aliens.

“By the truckload…” Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Jason D. Owens wrote on social media.

“Agents apprehend 75 subjects in one event while assisting our partners on a traffic stop near Carrizo Springs, TX. This failed mass smuggling load is a good example of the dangerous tactics used by criminals just to make $$.”

Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin shared body cam footage from the scene provided to him by TxDPS.

The driver was identified as a Honduran male who was also in the United States illegally.

He was found to be in possession of methamphetamines and has a “previous criminal history of drug and weapons charges,” TxDPS told Fox News in a statement.

Border Patrol’s Del Rio Sector has become the second-busiest along the U.S.-Mexico frontier, behind only the Rio Grande Valley Sector.

More than 153,200 encounters were officially recorded during the first five months of Fiscal Year 2022 in Del Rio Sector — a staggering 215% increase over the same period last year.
