On Tuesday, Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) took to social media to say that Attorney General Merrick Garland must step down or be impeached following the raid on former President Donald Trump’s home.
“At a minimum, Garland must resign or be impeached. The search warrant must be published. Christopher Wray must be removed. And the FBI reformed top to bottom.”

In another tweet, Hawley referred to “the raid by Joe Biden’s FBI” on the home of a former president, who is Biden’s “chief political opponent” as an unprecedented “assault on democratic norms and the rule of law.”

On Monday, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said the GOP will launch an investigation into Garland and the raid on Trump’s home.
McCarthy announced, “I’ve seen enough. The Department of Justice has reached an intolerable state of weaponized politicization.”
“When Republicans take back the House, we will conduct immediate oversight of this department, follow the facts, and leave no stone unturned. Attorney General Garland, preserve your documents and clear your calendar,” he said.
To people who say that Trump withheld the documents from the FBI, he have the FBI FULL ACCESS to all of the documents two months ago in June. He even stopped by to say hello. The FBI agents asked him to keep them in a more secure location and then they padlocked them. There was no need to raid his home for the documents.
More Republicans criticized the raid on the former president’s home to accuse federal agents of unfairly targeting the former president for political purposes.
Representative Bill Long (R-MO) contrasted how Trump was treated and how the FBI and the DOJ gave Hillary Clinton a pass.
“We witnessed an unprecedented search of a former president’s home because of suspected “mishandling of classified documents.” While the @FBI and the @TheJusticeDept gave @HillaryClinton a pass for using a private email server to send tens of thousands of classified papers.”
Right. Looks like this goy doesn’t know his proper place.
“President Trump Declares War on Federal Government

On Monday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, a weaponized arm of the criminal regime, launched a lawless, surprise raid on President Donald J. Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home claiming he had failed to surrender classified documents that belonged to the National Archives. Like a swarm of angry hornets, upward of 50-armed gestapo ransacked the estate, detained guests, and even cracked the president’s personal safe.”
I am not surprised that Trump has “Declared war on the federal government. He has been at war with the government and the democracy that it stands for ever since he was elected. If he gets elected again, I believe he will have himself a vengeance term and the war will continue.
I would say that Hawley is grandstanding with this one … I really believe he needs all the exposure he can get.
