Just minutes ago Chief Justice Roberts temporarily halted the order that would lift Title 42 restrictions Wednesday so the court can consider the request from the states.

Arizona’s AG, who is one of the drafters of Monday’s application, said in a statement that “getting rid of Title 42 will recklessly and needlessly endanger more Americans and migrants by exacerbating the catastrophe that is occurring at our southern border.”
The DOJ has 24 hours to respond with some reason why the states are wrong and Title 42 should be lifted immediately.
