Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is wasting no time in calling for political retribution against key Democrats ahead of the GOP’s takeover of the House for the first time since 2018. In particular, the Georgia Republican set her sights on House Intelligence Committee chair Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) in recent days.
Greene took to Twitter last week to press for his removal from his committees, accusing him of “lying to the American people and supporting BLM violent riots all over America…along w/ many of your colleagues.”
“I’m looking forward to watching @GOPLeader remove you from committees,” she added in a post containing a video clip of Schiff, who criticized likely incoming House Speaker and fellow Californian Kevin McCarthy’s vow to remove him as a “false equivalency.”
Schiff defended himself in an interview with California newsmagazine “The Issue Is,” arguing that he had not done anything to deserve being removed from his committees.
