Joe Biden pushed back on NBC’s Chuck Todd after he asked about the 2020 Democrat’s campaign claiming President Trump could “cost lives” with a slow response to the coronavirus outbreak.
“Do you think there is blood on the president’s hands considering the slow response?” Todd asked the former vice president on Sunday’s Meet the Press.
“I think that’s a little too harsh,” Biden responded, adding that Trump’s problem is that he “thinks out loud.” “He should stop thinking out loud and start thinking deeply. He should start listening to the scientists before he speaks.”
The president’s approval has hit an all-time high during his handling of the coronavirus pandemic. Sixty percent of voters said they approved of his handling of the outbreak. Biden had to apologize after his first virtual town hall on the coronavirus was interrupted by gaffes and technical difficulties.
