The Clinton camp has been desperately trying to distract public attention from shady dealings exposed in the campaign’s leaked emails, focusing on the source of the leaks instead of the corruption they revealed.
In the final presidential debate, Clinton emphatically stated that 17 different intelligence agencies have concluded that the leaks are coming from the highest levels of the Russian government. She charged that Vladimir Putin is interfering with the US election, in a bid to help Donald Trump win the White House. She also made the bizarre claim that Trump has encouraged Russians to hack into our government.
Fact checks showed Hillary’s “17 agencies” claim to be a flat out lie. She is referring to a statement released by Obama appointee James Clapper, who serves as Director of National Intelligence. In that joint statement with the Dept. of Homeland Security, Clapper stated “The U.S. Intelligence Community (USIC) is confident that the Russian Government directed the recent compromises of emails from U.S. persons and institutions, including from U.S. political organizations.”
Hillary’s implication that all 17 agencies had independently investigated the matter and reached the same conclusion were debunked when it was revealed that a politically-appointed director made the statement on behalf of all intelligence agencies.
This is not the first time that Mr. Clapper has made a judgment call that later proved to be erroneous. In 2011, when discussing the Libyan conflict, he told the US Senate that Col Qaddafi’s superior military force would prevail over the long term. He predicted that Qaddafi would defeat the rebels and had no intention of stepping down or fleeing. He even predicted that Libya could split into three autonomous states.
Instead, what we saw in Libya was the swift defeat of Qaddafi’s forces, as the leader hastily fled and was killed by rebels. Clapper again found himself embroiled in scandal in 2013, after he told congress that “the NSA does not collect any type of data at all on millions of Americans”. Twenty-six Senators complained about Mr. Clapper’s misleading testimony, with one even calling for his resignation.
We have learned since then of the shocking security lapses and protocol violations engaged in by none other than Hillary and her top aid Huma Abedin. One example is Huma’s storage of classified emails in her Yahoo! mail account.
It was revealed in September that Yahoo! had experienced the largest data breach in US history, with over 500 million email accounts accessed by hackers. It is nearly certain that whoever gained access to these emails also has access to Abedin’s backups of high-level State Department correspondence.
As more information is revealed that indicates Hillary and Huma’s lack of respect for standard security protocols, it becomes more incredulous for them to blame foreign actors for the email breach. This has not stopped the Hillary campaign and much of the mainstream media from shifting the blame to the Russian government.
Unbelievably, Hillary stated that Putin wants Trump to win because he’d rather have a puppet in the White House. It’s unclear how she could possibly draw the conclusion that Trump would be subservient to Putin, when Trump has no ties to the Kremlin, and projects the sort of strong leadership that would be unlikely to buckle to foreign pressure.
Hillary on the other hand, engaged in a deal as Secretary of State which allowed Russia to purchase a 20% stake in America’s uranium production, after donations totaling $40 million to the Clinton Foundation.
Obviously Hillary is very highly motivated to distract the American people from the content of the exposed emails, which paint a picture of an extremely corrupt operation involving the State Department, the Justice Department, and the mainstream media – with Hillary, Bill, and the Clinton Foundation at the center of it all.
She is also motivated by her desire to hamper Russia’s actions against ISIS terrorists in Syria. It is unclear how Clinton thinks the United States could solve the crisis in Syria without aid and support from the Russian military. In fact, the suggested approach from Clinton could easily lead to a disastrous situation that ends in World War III.
As for Trump, he insists that he has never spoken to Putin, and has no direct ties with the Russian government. He has said on numerous occasions that he would pursue a path of cooperation with Russian forces in order to defeat ISIS and restore order to Syria, which would also stop the flow of refugees contributing to the migrant crisis. Apparently this cooperation would be completely unacceptable to a Clinton White House.
Hillary and the media have hammered on the Russian angle for weeks, without any strong evidence to back their claims. Perhaps it has been part of a clever ploy to draw Julian Assange out and entice him to reveal his sources for the leaks.
Assange recently made this statement to respected Australian journalist John Pilger:
“The Clinton camp has been able to project a neo-McCarthyist hysteria that Russia is responsible for everything. Hillary Clinton has stated multiple times, falsely, that 17 US intelligence agencies had assessed that Russia was the source of our publications. That’s false – we can say that the Russian government is not the source.”
While Assange is on record that he will not confirm or deny any of the sources for his leaks, he has made this extraordinary step in denying Russian involvement in order to counter the lies that have been repeated endlessly in American media.
As the FBI investigations into Clinton’s mishandling of classified emails during her time as Secretary of State has been continued, more details emerge daily about the extent of the carelessness or outright chicanery that Clinton and Huma engaged in, with the purpose of shielding their communications from the appropriate authorities and the American people. There is widespread speculation that the purpose of hiding the emails was to conceal illegal activities regarding pay-to-play access to the US government.
It is quite alarming to learn that Hillary willfully deleted more than 33,000 emails after they had been placed under subpoena. To many observers this is a clearly indictable offense of tampering with evidence and obstruction of justice. It’s even more disturbing that Hillary would seek to shift blame away from her own shameful activities by blaming a ‘vast right-wing conspiracy’ involving Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.
The American people are counting on the FBI to get to the bottom of Hillary’s shady dealings, and inform the public of all pertinent facts before they head to the polls on November 8th. Whether or not the FBI will again have its hands tied by Loretta Lynch’s Justice Department, remains to be seen.
