An Australian politician has declared that all citizens must keep their masks on even while drinking beer outdoors.
Victoria Labor Party premier Daniel Andrews made the remark in Melbourne on Monday during a press conference announcing that COVID lockdowns would be extended for two weeks and curfews imposed.
“There will be no removal of masks to consume alcohol outdoors,” Andrews asserted.
“So you will no longer be able to remove your mask to drink a cocktail at a pop-up beer garden on a footpath as part of a pub crawl.”
Andrews’ contemptuous, megalomaniacal remarks come as Australia saw 7 COVID deaths on Monday, with new 22 cases in the state of Victoria in all.
