Financial interests do not influence businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, the lone GOP debate participant he claims, boldly denounced the “climate agenda” as a “hoax.” In response to a question about convincing younger voters of their commitment to environmental concerns, Ramaswamy candidly expressed his views. “The climate change agenda is a hoax,” he asserted, highlighting his perceived independence from corporate influence and drawing disapproving reactions from the audience.
Ramaswamy reiterated his stance: “Let us be honest as Republicans. I’m the only person on this stage who isn’t bought and paid for, so I can say this: the climate change agenda is a hoax.” He further contended that breaking free from this purportedly deceitful agenda was crucial, attributing it to a dampening effect on the economy due to anti-carbon policies.

However, his statements triggered a swift counterattack from former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, who belittled Ramaswamy’s political experience and labeled him an “amateur.” Undeterred, Ramaswamy responded humorously, evoking Christie’s praise of President Obama during Hurricane Sandy. Ramaswamy quipped, “Hug me, just like you did to Obama. Then you’ll help to elect me just like you did Obama.” This reference aimed to underscore Christie’s past bipartisan cooperation.
The article recalls the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy in 2012, where Christie’s praise of Obama’s leadership during the disaster was considered to have played a role in Obama’s successful re-election. Exit polls suggested that Obama’s handling of the crisis influenced voter perception. Ramaswamy’s bold proclamation and subsequent exchange with Christie exemplify the polarization within the GOP on climate-related matters. The debate serves as a microcosm of the wider discourse on environmental policies and the challenges faced in appealing to diverse voter demographics on this contentious issue.
Well, it’s reassuring that at least one candidate understands the Climate Change Hoax and all the Globalist shenanigans it holds. They will invent anything to control the people including questionable Cold Viruses.
That “hug me like you did to Obama” was so clever, quick-witted, and relevant, I give him the best retort of the night.
Speaking of a “contentious issue”: It’s a shame that neither interviewer asked either him or Nikki Haley if their immigrant parents had become U.S. citizens before their births. If the answers were No, then that person should have been outed as ineligible for either the office of POTUS or VP. Just as BHO should have been outed on the same issue. The fundamental constitutional issue, of whether the candidate is a ‘natural born’ citizen or not. The definition of which is a person “born in the country, of parents who are citizens” thereof. And thereby will we start getting back go the rule of law in this country – its Constitution. Otherwise, we are living under the rule of arbitrary law. Another word for which is tyranny.
